Flying in Formation: Skydive Team Performs Daring Stunt with Two Gliders over the Alps

The Red Bull Skydive Team flies in formation with two gliders in a daring stunt over the Alps reaching speeds of over 111 mph (180 km/h). The skydivers were wearing specially-designed aerodynamic winged suits, flying alongside the planes piloted by Ewald Roithner and Martin Strimitzerin Niederoeblarn. The stunt performed on May 9th, 2012 in Austria was one of the most daring wingsuit maneuvers ever seen as the skydivers inched their way towards the aircrafts to reach their excessive speeds. The skydive team even said that they were able to look the pilots in the eye! “I’ve still got goosebumps” says Red Bull Skydive Team leader Paul Steiner. “It was definitely scary at times, but looking back it was an unbelievable experience.”
